Yoo, hoo! Jerry! It is all right that I call you Jerry.
Michael Richards said many mean and racist things. Does that make it hard to watch Seinfeld reruns?
No, not if you have TiVo. I have TiVo. I did not even mean to watch Seinfeld reruns, but the Tivo made me! The TiVo recorded an episode where Jerry and Elaine were having a conversation, and the conversation was about how Jerry and Elaine were living in New York City and dating people and how that was funny. But then Kramer entered the room, and all I could see was Michael Richards! So I turned it off, but I think the TiVo kept watching it, and laughing. So if it was ethically right to turn the show off, that is what I did. If it was not ethically right to turn it off, I can watch it later. This is called "nonpartisanship."
But it is clear that the show's producers made a big mistake by not making racism one of Kramer's humorous foibles, like how nobody knew how he made money or how he yelled a lot. None of the characters were perfect, and that was part of the joke! If it was funny that they would park in a handicapped-only parking space, why wouldn't it be just as funny for Kramer to start randomly screaming "nigger!" in the diner?
What a hoot! Here is my suggestion:
JERRY! I KNOW YOU READ MY BLOG! DO A FUNNY REUNION SHOW WHERE KRAMER STARTS SCREAMING THE WORD NIGGER!
That would be the best way to make Kramer "loveable" again.
I think this is excellent advice and I do not see a downside.

How will you find out which is the ethical approach? Will the TiVo decide? Does your TiVo talk to you? Mine doesn't.
I've been told the dark people use the word "nigger" with one another all the time. Wouldn't our using "nigger" be just another fine way of celebrating their culture?
