I believe the problem is that your lack of partisanship has left you invisible. If you had been slightly partisan the uber-partisans at Pajamas Media would have recognized your ghostly presence and invited you to their pajama party.
Instead you dangle, neither here nor there, a woman without a party.

Pooh, there really is something appealing about the concept of nonpartisanship, of being above the fray, of being reasonable. It's a kind of positioning she offers, like it's for sale, really. And in aspiration there's nothing ignoble about trying for objectivity, and of course everyone no matter what their beliefs needs to check themselves pretty frequently to make sure they're not getting carried away...
But AA really does not seem to know what words like "objectivity," "fairness," "critical thinking," "civility," or (a favorite AA-ism) "self-reflection" actually mean. It's like she's learned to speak a foreign language phonetically and has no concept at all that she's gone into sausage shop in order to buy train tickets.
I think Althouse's appeal to her fans is that she lets them believe that they really are refined, civilized intellectuals, and that everyone else is just a nasty emotional beast. In a time like now when even "civility" itself is used not to facilitate communication but as a club with which to beat your opponents, the AA fantasy is pretty powerful.
Just a thought. Of course, AA is also so completely lacking in self awareness that she's really, in the end, more funny than anything else.
